Wednesday June 28th: Aces 7 Pirates 6: Aces Walk it Off

Jun. 29, 2023

Last night's first Intermediate game of the season was a wild one! The Pasadena Pirates took an early lead in the top of the second, scoring the maximum three runs per inning thanks to an error, an RBI single from Nick Dawe, and a bases loaded hit by pitch.

The Aces would score two in the next frame though, with two bases loaded walks. They would take the lead in the third, thanks to an game tying single from Zac Fagan and a pair of passed balls.

The Pirates would take the lead right back inn the top of the fourth though. A passed ball, an RBI single from Josh Garnier, and another from Nick Gould would put the Pirates up 6-5 heading into the last inning of play.

In the bottom half, Ryan Jackson would tie the game for the Aces, before a wild pitch would allow Jackson to score the winning run.
