Thursday night's game between the Aces and Monarchs was a tight one the whole way through. The Aces would score the first run of the game in the top of the second, with Jacob Keefe hitting an RBI groundout to score Ryan Park. In the third inning, the Aces would add two more, as a dropped third strike and a Ryan Park RBI single would give the Aces a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fourth the Monarchs would score three runs and tie the game, thanks to Jack Kendrick hitting an RBI single, and Al Bailey following it up with a 2 RBI double.
In the top of the sixth inning the Aces would score one more, with Greg Whelan hitting a go ahead RBI single that would give the Aces a 4-3 lead that they wouldn't relinquish.
