The Aces and Hawks resumed the senior league action on Monday, after a brief hiatus due to the Senior Barons and Junior Barons tournaments. The Aces managed to get on the board right away, as they would score two runs in the bottom of the second, thanks to a Ryan Park RBI double and an error. Clearly the bats didn't fall asleep on the break, as in the second inning they would score three more on an RBI groundout from Jacob Keefe, an error, and a passed ball. In the fourth, they would add to their now 5-0 lead once again, scoring three additional runs on an error and 2 RBI doubles from Steven Hynes and Tommy Ford.
In the top of the fifth the Hawks would finally get on the board, cutting the lead in half by scoring four runs thanks to an RBI double from Ryder Penney, a bases loaded walk to Thomas Hancock, a steal of home by Ryder Penney, and another bases loaded walk by David McCarthy.
The Aces would get some of those runs back though in their half of the fifth, scoring three on a sac fly from Steven Hynes, a wild pitch, and a Tommy Ford RBI knock.
The Hawks got those three runs back in the sixth, thanks to big hits from Hancock, Cutler, and Baker.
Now 11-8, the Aces would give themselves a cushion in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring four runs to make it a 15-8 affair, and put the game out of reach.
