The Monarchs and Marlins played a wild one on Tuesday night. The offense started in the top of the second inning, when Matt Flood hit an RBI single to give the Marlins an early 1-0 lead. The Monarchs would take a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third though on a an error and a two run home run by the red hot Brad Brewer.

The Marlins would take the lead in the fifth on a two run double by Adam Tilley, making it 5-3 for the Marlins. They would score another on a bases loaded walk to Kyle Brown in the sixth, but in the bottom of the inning things would start to fall apart for the fish.
Two runners would score for the Marlins on an error under the glove of right fielder Luke Thibeau, and the Monarchs would tie the game on a passed ball.
Thibeau would redeem himself quickly, giving the Marlins the lead on an RBI double in the top of the seventh, before coming around to score on a single by Zac Fagan.
However, in the bottom of the seventh the Marlins would be unable to shut the door on the Monarchs, as Chris Kelly would hit an RBI single, and Greg Sharpe would score two with two outs to win the game 9-8.
